MUSE lab trial sites in Huesca and Berlin interconnected

A video conference session runs accross next generation packet-to-packet gateways and IP forwarding access lab trials at the sites of Telefonica I+D and T-System. The solutions were developed in Subproject B of MUSE. The interconnection is realised via the IST MUPBED testbed and some regional networks.

Increasing influence of MUSE contributions in standardisation

MUSE made a total of eight co-signed contributions to the last DSL Forum meeting in Athens on September 18-22 on topics related to QoS, IP Sessions, QoE requirements, Video performance monitoring, DSL Interop and others. MUSE also made two contributions to ETSI TISPAN on use cases and related requirements for fixed mobile convergence, as well as various other contributions to HGI and ETSI TM6.

MUSE Autumn School in Bilbao, October 19-20, 2006

The programme contains two parallel tracks of tutorials: one on access architectures and one on DSL physical layer. Cf. the MUSE website for the full programme and (free, but obligatory) registration. The MUSE Autumn school is organised by partner Robotiker.

MUSE at BB Europe, Geneva, December 11-14, 2006

MUSE will again be highly visible at the next edition of BB Europe with 12 accepted oral papers, a booth in the exhibition, and a MUSE Winter School.

12th MUSE consortium meeting

More than 120 participants are expected at the 12th Consortium Meeting hosted by Robotiker in Bilbao from October 16-20. A lot of time is devoted to architectural discussions, which should lead to a public deliverable by the end of the year.

Deliverables, conference papers, and publications can be requested via the MUSE website: http://www.ist-muse.org

MUSE is part of the IST Broadband for All cluster. Other information from European research in this area can be found on the website of BREAD: http://www.ist-bread.org
